Falls

Falls Happen Anywhere

Falls can happen almost anywhere and for any number of reasons. Ice, snow, uneven sidewalks, potholes, debris, spilled liquid on store floors, and defective walkways or staircases all pose hazards to those who walk on someone else’s property. In most cases, there is a legal obligation for property owners to keep their property reasonably safe and in a good state of repair.  Adequate warnings should be posted around any potentially dangers, whether using signs or roping off an unsafe area.

If you’ve fallen, try to take photographs with a cell phone to preserve evidence before the condition is cleaned or repaired. If you believe that your injuries occurred as a direct result of the property owner’s negligence, you may be able to recover compensation. Your claim may include medical bills, lost wages, and your pain and suffering.

Contact Liss & Marion, and we will work to get compensation for your injuries.

Over 800,000 patients a year are hospitalized because of a fall injury, including 32,000 fatalities in the United States – the second leading cause of death by injury, after car accidents.
